I never grew up around water but have always wanted to get involved in water sports. I figured while I am working near the Columbia River I should take advantage. The weather has just gotten warm enough to pull out the boats around here so this past weekend I took a beginners kayaking class through Columbia Kayak Adventures. I learned a lot about the strokes and rescues and really enjoyed being out on the water. AND it's not as scary to tip over as I thought!
Luckily I will have access to water and kayaking in Port Angeles, WA so I will have to keep it up!
